  • Now on the homepage, you’ll find six different tablets. Now to apply, click on the tablet marked as Farmer Corner- Apply for Crop Insurance by Yourself. 
  • Once clicked, a smaller box will appear on the screen displaying two separate options- Login for Farmer and Guest Farmer 
  • Login with “Farmer” is for farmers who have already applied and can continue simply by logging in. On the other hand, Guest Farmer is for farmers who want to apply for the first time.
  • Once clicked on Guest Farmer, an official Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana registration will appear on your screen. 
  • Now you need to fill in all the details with the correct information. Make sure to be careful, as any error will result in the cancellation of the form. 
  • Now you’ll need to type in the captcha code as given in the box. Next, click on the green button shown as Create User. 
  • Now you’ll get confirmation on your registered mobile number. Finally, your registration process will be completed, and you can log in using your credentials. 

How to Report Crop Loss and Claim Insurance?

To report the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana claim process, here is what you need to do:

  • Firstly farmers need to file a claim with the Insurance company within 72 hours of the occurrence of the loss. 
  • In addition to claiming, farmers need to submit supporting documents such as damaged crop photographs and reports from the agricultural department/village level committee as proof of the loss. 
  • Once filed, the insurance company will assess the claim. If approved, the farmer will receive a payout as compensation from the insurance company. For further queries or issues related to Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, farmers can complain to the grievance cell.

How to Register Any Grievance Complaint Online?

To register any grievance complaint under the PMFBY Scheme online, here are the steps you’ll need to follow:

  • First, visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana at https://pmfby.gov.in 
  • On the homepage, from the left, click on the 5th tablet marked as Complaints- Tell Us About Your Problems.
  • Once clicked, a new page will appear on the screen as a Complaint/Grievance box. 
  • Next, you’ll find four fields in this box: Name, Mobile Number, Email and Comments. Here you need to type the necessary details, such as mobile number, email ID, etc. 
  • Next, type in and describe your complaint or any issue. 
  • Once done, enter the captcha code in the given box.
  • Finally, click on the yellow Submit button.
